How to intelligently warm up Instagram accounts?

Promoting advertisers’ products on social networks is a rather difficult task, and if offers are also prohibited by the advertising policy of a particular social network, then it turns into hellish work. And affiliates are forced to buy or register new accounts to advertise the product. And in order for accounts to live as long as possible, they need to be warmed up.

What is account warming-up?

Warming up your account depends on how the affiliate works. Someone imitates a real user, warming up an advertising cabinet, pouring a small amount of money into a white offer and then launching an advertisement. Someone registers hundreds of accounts, uniqueizes them and attracts users to their accounts with an offer with mass actions (massfollowing/massliking/masslooking) on ​​the target audience.

But in general - preparing the account for work. Warming up usually consists of several parts:

  1. Registration of an account from a pure IP and from a phone that is not connected to other profiles;
  2. Linking an Instagram account to a Business Page or personal Facebook profile (also registered on a clean IP and warmed up in its own way);
  3. Imitation of a live person, subscriptions, likes, correspondence, posts, comments, and so on;
  4. A small spend of the budget for some of your posts, etc.

After all these manipulations, the account is ready to go.

Why do you need to warm up Instagram accounts?

Warming up is needed in order not to get banned immediately after the launch of the advertising campaign.

Automatic algorithms and moderators actively monitor ads. And if the algorithms notice the suspicious behavior of a user who, having registered on Instagram, immediately launches an advertisement from it, they will immediately stop the advertisement and ban the profile. Atypical behavior means:

  1. Launching an advertisement after a simple “get relax”, without any actions typical for an ordinary user;
  2. Advertising launch on the day of registration;
  3. High costs for the first advertising campaign.

Warming up your account allows you to bypass automatic algorithms and show them that you are an ordinary user and can be trusted. And the algorithms will begin to trust you, because they begin to perceive the advertising campaign as a normal course of events and do not suspect you of foul play.

Sooner or later, the account will still receive a ban, but a warmed-up account allows you to delay this moment for a decent period of time, sufficient to recoup all investments in it.

Warm-up instructions

If you are new to this business, then do not register many accounts at once. Register one and bring it warm-up and monetization to the end, then you can understand where you made mistakes.

  • The most important rule is register 1 account for 1 IP address. If you start registering several accounts at once to one IP address, this will raise suspicion from the Instagram algorithms;
  • fill out the account completely, but do not immediately insert links in profile;
  • do not leave the Instagram application immediately after registration — this is not how ordinary users do;
  • also do not register from a PC — usually all users register from a mobile phone;
  • use believable first and last names;
  • when posting the first photos, mark some geopositins that would match your IP

If you took a shorter route and decided to buy accounts, then look at their characteristics. Do not take new regions — it is quite possible that they were registered using third-party software or scripts and they are already under suspicion! There are other methods for them to get traffic to your offers.

Be active in your account

Prepare multiple notebook files with different phone numbers to sync contacts. With these actions, you will increase Instagram loyalty to you. Follow people from the downloaded notebook. It won’t be superfluous to subscribe to celebrities. The main thing is not to overdo it! Instagram has certain limits, which I talked about in the previous article on restrictions.

Try to imitate the behavior of an ordinary user for several days, even better up to 7 days. The longer you show the Instagram algorithms of a regular user, the more trust you will have.

Connect Instagram to Facebook

There are 2 reasons for this need.

  1. A connection of accounts in two social networks is another strong confirmation that you are a living person.
  2. Without such a bundle, it will not be possible to set up advertising on Instagram: Instagram does not have a separate advertising account. That is, all ads are launched through Facebook Ads Manager

Spend a small advertising budget

When you connect Facebook to your account, you will have the opportunity to promote your posts and set up targeted advertising on Instagram. Spend $15–20 or more so that the algorithms understand that you are going to use ads for normal advertising campaigns (your post or profile; a white offer such as a DVR or services not prohibited by Instagram policy; or any site, you can use your own, if any). The main thing is that the advertisement should be launched via Ads Manager.

These tips are not a clear panacea for account blocking, but they can reduce the likelihood of bans to a minimum. Everyone, in the process of warming up, finds their sweet spot in all actions to increase the loyalty of algorithms to your accounts.
